Welcome
My name is Khadija Makda Lockhat. I live in Durban, South Africa.I am a teacher and a mum to three children aged 11, 5 and 3 1/2 years old.I dabble in freelance writing on education and parenting as well as writing non fiction for children. My inspiration are my children. I hope to guide my children with old fashioned values but at the same time allow them to embrace and question the new ideas and technology the world has to offer. I love the smell of rain on dry sand and watching old trees as the sun filters through them. My favourite times are eating good food with the people I love and travelling to exotic destinations. I would love to hear about your ideas, thoughts and experiences on the topics I’ve posted.

Aslm. Congratulations my friend! I see you’ve been very busy since our last meeting. May Allah grant you success in all that you do and use you to serve His Deen in whichever way HE chooses.
May you continue to inspire us with your articles. I like that you encourage and remind us about the simple pleasures in life. Good times and the stuff memories are made off do not have to cost an arm and a leg nor be glamorous or exciting. Our fondest childhood memories attest to this. Kids don’t know better, and if we can bring them up to love and appreciate the simple things, without the ‘bling’ I think we will have thought them a life skill.
With love and Duas for our children to be the coolness of our eyes,
Naseema
